    Carolyn Wiley

Carolyn Wiley is an Attorney & Counselor at Law at The Harris Law Firm who serves clients from all four of our locations. A trusted advocate who has been featured in the Colorado Super Lawyers list of Rising Stars, she focuses her practice on matters involving estate planning, prenuptial agreements, marital agreements, and family law.

Having long admired the work of human rights advocates around the world, Carolyn studied Political Science and International Relations at St. Olaf College before earning her Master’s degree in International Studies from the University of Denver, Josef Korbel School of International Studies. During her undergrad years, she worked for Minnesota Law and Politics, where she learned about local legal issues and cultivated an interest in the law. She earned her law degree from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.

Over the course of her nearly 20-year career in law, Carolyn has become known as a highly capable and compassionate advocate. She prides herself on her ability to listen to clients, keep them informed about the progress of their cases, and engage in honest and productive conversations that allow them to manage expectations and make informed decisions. Carolyn is also known for her extensive insight in both family law and estate planning and works with many returning clients who seek her counsel for estate planning services once their divorce and family law cases have been resolved.

In addition to her work protecting the rights and interests of clients, Carolyn has also held important volunteer roles in legal committees and organizations. This includes her time on the Premarital Agreements subcommittee and the Colorado Uniform Trust Code subcommittee of Orange Book Forms, a trusted publication that’s considered an essential handbook for Colorado estate planning attorneys. Carolyn is Co-Chair of the Statutory Revisions Committee for the CBA Trusts and Estates Section, which advises legislators about new legislation and changes needed in the law.

Carolyn spent much of her formative years in Littleton, Colorado and Midland, Texas. A music lover and cellist, she enjoys going to symphony and chamber music concerts, reading, traveling, and spending time with her children and family. She is also active in her children’s schools.

I would like to thank the team for your patience with us through what has been a very difficult process for us both.
“We had a successful conclusion to all of our work this morning. The court commented on the fine work that had been done using a combination of the collaborative process and our independent efforts. I would like to thank the team for your patience with us through what has been a very difficult process for us both.”
      - Mark

“As a real estate agent, I know all too well there is nothing worse than a deal stalling because of a slow legal review or non-responsive attorney. Cody Riley is the exact opposite - he was proactive, sharp, and most importantly always answered my calls and responded to my emails. I will be using Cody again in the future for my residential and commercial real estate legal needs.”
      - Connor

Exceptional advocate in a complex, high-conflict case
“I highly recommend Barbara Johnson-Stern. My case was extremely challenging, and she proved to be an outstanding advocate from start to finish. She was able to confidently take on a “bulldog” opposing attorney while remaining professional, strategic, and exceptionally well-prepared. She knows the law, stands her ground, and presents with credibility and confidence in court. Throughout the entire process she was responsive, accessible, and fully engaged in the case. I have worked with many professionals over the years, and her level of preparation, integrity, and effectiveness truly stood out. If you are facing a difficult legal situation and want someone who will advocate for you with skill, professionalism, and results, you will be in excellent hands.”
      - M.L.
