Ursula is a proud Denver native whose legal career reflects an unwavering commitment to justice, advocacy, and service to her community. Whether representing clients in sensitive family matters, navigating complex litigation, or protecting the rights of vulnerable individuals, Ursula brings a rare combination of legal skill, strategic thinking, and genuine compassion. Her career is defined not only by her results but also by the trust and confidence she inspires in those she serves.
Her path to law began with a deep passion for fairness and helping others, shaped early in her career through her work with the Denver District Attorney’s Juvenile Diversion Program. There, she worked directly with non-violent youth offenders, helping to reduce recidivism rates through early intervention, mental health support, and life-skills development. This early exposure to restorative justice ignited her lifelong commitment to advocacy for children and families and continues to inform her client-centered, solution-oriented approach to legal practice.
She earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2016, where she distinguished herself as a student practitioner with the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office, gaining invaluable courtroom experience and refining her trial skills in a fast-paced prosecutorial setting. She also interned with the Rocky Mountain Victim’s Law Center, advocating for survivors of domestic violence and other crimes, and later served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Richard Caschette, where she assisted in a wide range of domestic, civil, and criminal matters.
Before law school, Ursula completed her Bachelor of Arts & Science in History, with a minor in Political Science, at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her studies deepened her understanding of social systems and governance while sharpening her analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Prior to joining The Harris Law Firm, Ursula practiced in civil litigation, focusing on first- and third-party insurance defense. She also developed extensive experience in special education law, where she guided students and families through complex legal and administrative processes to ensure students with disabilities received the services and protections they were entitled to under federal law.
Her diverse legal background, coupled with her courtroom experience and commitment to advocacy, makes Ursula a formidable and compassionate advocate. She’s known for her strong communication skills, calm demeanor, and ability to find practical solutions even in emotionally charged situations, all of which help clients feel supported and informed throughout their case.
Ursula’s approach to client service is defined by empathy, integrity, and clear communication. She understands that legal matters, especially those involving families can be deeply personal and stressful. By focusing on a kind, solution-based approach, she advocates effectively for her clients while minimizing unnecessary conflict or emotional strain.
Outside the courtroom, Ursula enjoys giving back to her Denver community and spending time with family and friends. She values balance, mindfulness, and the outdoors. Qualities that help her bring patience, perspective, and compassion to her legal practice.
