Kaitlin Stranahan

Known for her warm, approachable personality and undoubtedly impressive abilities for organization and communication, Kaitlin Stranahan is a trusted paralegal of The Harris Law Firm in Colorado. Clients and attorneys alike rely on her throughout every stage of a case. With genuine compassion and an interest in helping people through tough situations, she has been a perfect fit for as long as she’s been with the law firm.

As a child, Kaitlin loved to watch Law & Order: SVU and JAG with her grandmother, which led her to an interest in true crime podcasts and documentaries as an adult. Traveling a bit, she earned her Criminal Justice degree from the University of Arizona. After she returned to Colorado, she finished her paralegal certificate during which time she was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for academic achievement. Her combined interests in law and organizational work ultimately led her to pursue a career in the legal field.

As a paralegal, Kaitlin has already had a remarkable career. During an internship with the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C., Kaitlin gained hands-on experience in scheduling, drafting memorandums, and constituent communications. She taught herself the process for obtaining Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) in State Court so that Immigration Court could process green card orders. The workflow and templates she created became the standard for her peers, demonstrating her initiative and expertise. In Colorado, she started looking for law firms that felt like the right fit. She is glad to have found her calling here at The Harris Law Firm.

When working on a case, Kaitlin always uses a compassionate and supportive approach. She knows that the firm’s family law and divorce clients are going through some of the most challenging times of their lives, so she focuses on listening to them first and making sure they feel understood. Minimizing the intimidating nature of the court system is an important part of her work. The attorneys of The Harris Law Firm also appreciate her knack for eliminating obstacles and reducing complications.

Throughout her life, Kaitlin has looked for ways to stay active with volunteer work and efforts that benefit the people in her communities. Kaitlin has volunteered with food banks and continues to seek new opportunities. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, she often visits family, including nine nieces and nephews. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, baseball, snowboarding, and exploring new restaurants.
