Jacquelyn Sexson

After working in sales for several years, Jacquelyn Sexson realized that she had a knack for both connecting with people and sorting out complicated tax-related situations. She decided to put her talents toward a highly rewarding career that allowed her to help people in need, which is what drew her to paralegal work and to The Harris Law Firm, a law firm known for supporting its clients through difficult or confusing times.

Jacquelyn focuses on tax law and how it can put everyday people into complex legal situations. When tax law poses a challenge for a client, she is always at the forefront of the casework to find the solution that works with both IRS and state regulations. From collections and audits to business taxations, Jacquelyn can help with it all. Of course, she is also well-versed in how tax law can create implications for people going through high net worth divorces or who have large estates. She loves to apply and share her knowledge with the firm’s clients and attorneys alike, so our team can reach a positive, amicable outcome in even the toughest cases.

Our attorneys and clients have all come to know Jacquelyn as a paralegal with an open mind and gracious heart. She constantly keeps people updated as cases progress and offers her compassionate reassurance whenever stress gets high.

Jacquelyn proudly volunteers with “Paws n Hooves Colorado”. So far, she has saved and fostered eight dogs who were on euthanasia lists in New Mexico and Texas. She also volunteers with her family during the Denver National Western Stock Show at the large animal photo booth run by Kodiak Ranch.

Jacquelyn grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and went to San Francisco State University before moving to Arvada, Colorado, where she earned her Associates Degree in Business at Red Rocks Community College. She loves spending time with her family, including her young daughter, and on her family’s hobby farm, complete with horses, black Angus cows, and a mini steer. She likes to stay creative and active through home renovations, gardening, hiking, exercising, exploring nature, and helping her neighbors with projects around their homes and farms.
