Tyler Davis

Tyler Davis is an Attorney at The Harris Law Firm who represents clients from our Denver office. He focuses his practice on matters of divorce and family law and is particularly adept in helping clients navigate conflict and complex issues through mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Tyler’s journey into the field of law was borne from his volunteer work as a high school student with the Children’s Jail Ministry, an initiative that provides care for children of incarcerated parents. This experience exposed him to the legal system’s profound impact on families and communities and allowed him to recognize that the law wields power not just as a tool for justice but also a means to effect positive change for vulnerable individuals. This realization inspired him to pursue a career in law where he could actively contribute to shaping a more equitable and compassionate legal landscape.

Tyler is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology and was actively involved in campus leadership roles, including serving as a Student Ambassador, President of the Interfraternity Council, and a Student Conduct Board Member, where he got his first taste of conflict resolution and the judicial process.

After earning his undergraduate degree, Tyler went on to the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law, where he developed an interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and mediation. During his time in law school, he was awarded DU’s Award for Excellence in ADR, and delivered the top student presentation at the Colorado Bar Association’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Conference.

In his practice, Tyler takes great care to foster a collaborative and compassionate environment in which he approaches cases not solely as legal puzzles to be solved, but as human stories that deserve empathy and respect. This approach leads to more sustainable resolutions and productive relationships built on trust, which is particularly important in matters involving children.

Tyler is also a proponent of building client relationships that are rooted in empowerment and accessibility. He believes that every client, regardless of their background or the complexity of their case, deserves to be fully informed and actively involved in the decision-making process. Furthermore, he recognizes the anxieties and uncertainties that often accompany legal challenges and works to mitigate these feelings by prioritizing his accessibility. Whether it's promptly returning calls, being available for impromptu meetings, or simply offering a listening ear, he ensures that his clients never feel left in the dark. This level of commitment allows for attorney-client relationships where both parties work in tandem toward a common goal.

At The Harris Law Firm, Tyler leverages his technical knowledge to help clients navigate complex legal landscapes involving a range of family law issues. His degree in Business Administration allows him to handle the complex financial implications of divorce, including the division of assets and issues involving businesses and professional practices, while his studies in Psychology provide him with a deeper level of empathy and understanding. Tyler’s clients also appreciate his keen ability to actively listen, his attention to detail, and his ability to distill complex legal concepts into easily understandable terms.

Outside of his professional and academic pursuits, Tyler is an avid traveler and outdoorsman, having explored all 50 states and 34 National Parks. He is an advanced scuba diver, licensed through both NAUI and PADI, and a constant reader, particularly enjoying the literary works of Stephen King.

“As a real estate agent, I know all too well there is nothing worse than a deal stalling because of a slow legal review or non-responsive attorney. Cody Riley is the exact opposite - he was proactive, sharp, and most importantly always answered my calls and responded to my emails. I will be using Cody again in the future for my residential and commercial real estate legal needs.”

Exceptional advocate in a complex, high-conflict case
“I highly recommend Barbara Johnson-Stern. My case was extremely challenging, and she proved to be an outstanding advocate from start to finish. She was able to confidently take on a “bulldog” opposing attorney while remaining professional, strategic, and exceptionally well-prepared. She knows the law, stands her ground, and presents with credibility and confidence in court. Throughout the entire process she was responsive, accessible, and fully engaged in the case. I have worked with many professionals over the years, and her level of preparation, integrity, and effectiveness truly stood out. If you are facing a difficult legal situation and want someone who will advocate for you with skill, professionalism, and results, you will be in excellent hands.”
